About Me

I am a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and graduate of the National College of Midwifery, offering home birth midwifery care grounded in safety, respect, and genuine connection. My practice is centered on the belief that pregnancy and birth are normal, powerful life events, and that the birthing person should remain at the heart of every decision.

I am deeply family-centered and welcome the involvement of partners, siblings, and other loved ones in whatever way feels right for you. Whether you prefer a quiet, intimate birth space or a room filled with family, my role is to support the environment that helps you feel safe, seen, and empowered.

I provide inclusive, nonjudgmental care to all families. I honor diverse backgrounds, identities, and family structures, and I am committed to creating a space where you are listened to, validated, and treated with dignity. Within the scope and guidelines of Certified Professional Midwives, my goal is to offer evidence-informed care, clear communication, and shared decision-making so that you can make informed choices that align with your values.

Above all, my job is to walk alongside you—respecting your body, your baby, your intuition, and your vision for birth—and to support you in having a safe, supported experience that feels as close as possible to the birth you’ve dreamed of.

People often wonder, “What does my midwife do when she’s not at a birth?”
Honestly? Nine times out of ten, I’m at the beach.

My family and I are absolute beach people. Whether it’s a quick day trip with sandy feet and messy hair or a weekend tucked into a little condo by the water, the ocean is our happy place. It’s where we reset, reconnect, and remember why we love this life so much.

On the rare days I can’t get to the beach, my idea of heaven is a quiet movie by myself, no phone, just popcorn and a couple of hours to breathe. In the fall and winter, you’re most likely to find me in the kitchen, canning and using my freeze dryer. I’m a big believer that you can never have too much food put aside, and there’s something really grounding about filling shelves with jars you’ve made with your own hands.

When you see a month or two blocked off on my calendar, it usually means my kids and I are off exploring somewhere in the world. I’m a proud military mom, and the young man you see in my photos—the one with the long hair—is my son in the U.S. Navy. A lot of my travel revolves around dropping in wherever he’s stationed and soaking up a good two- or three-week visit. I’ve been married for over 25 years, and we have two beautiful kids: an 11-year-old and a 19-year-old.

Yes, I fully admit it: I’m a bit of a helicopter mom, following my sailor around the globe whenever I can. But once a mom, always a mom—and I bring that same big, devoted, slightly overprotective heart into the way I care for the families I serve.
