One-on-one support for pregnancy questions, care options, labs, birth planning, and next steps.
Pregnancy can bring a lot of questions, especially when you are trying to understand your options, make decisions, or get clear guidance outside of a rushed appointment. Birthstone Midwifery offers pregnancy consultations for families who want thoughtful, educational, midwifery-led support in a calm and personal setting.
Pregnancy Consultations Built Around Your Questions
Every consultation is personalized. You can use this time to ask questions, review concerns, prepare for birth, understand pregnancy recommendations, or decide what type of care feels right for you.
Pregnancy Questions
Ask about symptoms, pregnancy changes, common concerns, what to expect next, and when something may need additional evaluation.
Labs & Ultrasounds
Get help understanding routine pregnancy labs, ultrasound reports, screening options, and questions to bring back to your provider.
Birth Options
Talk through home birth, hospital birth, birth center care, doula support, transfer planning, and what different options may look like.
Second Opinion Support
Discuss recommendations you have received, clarify what they may mean, and explore questions to ask before making decisions.
Birth Planning
Receive guidance around preferences, comfort measures, informed consent, advocacy, and realistic preparation for labor and birth.
Postpartum Preparation
Plan for recovery, newborn care, breastfeeding, household support, emotional wellness, and your first weeks after birth.
Sometimes You Just Need More Time to Talk

A Good Fit for Families Who Want Clarity
Pregnancy consultations are helpful for families at many stages of pregnancy, whether you are newly pregnant, changing providers, deciding where to give birth, or preparing for postpartum.
You Feel Rushed Elsewhere
You have questions but do not feel like you have enough time during regular appointments to fully talk them through.
You Want to Understand Your Options
You want support comparing birth settings, care models, testing options, or next steps in your pregnancy.
You Want Midwifery Perspective
You value education, shared decision-making, body literacy, and care that treats you like an active participant.
Coverage Options for Pregnancy Consultations
Some pregnancy consultation services may be eligible for insurance coverage depending on your plan, active benefits, and the type of visit being scheduled. As of July 2026, Birthstone Midwifery accepts Medi-Cal and IEHP for eligible covered services.
Coverage depends on active eligibility, plan requirements, authorization when required, and benefit verification. Insurance must be verified before services are confirmed.
Simple, Supportive, and Focused on You
The goal of a consultation is to help you feel more informed, less overwhelmed, and clearer about your next steps.
1. Choose Your Topic
Let us know what you want support with, such as pregnancy questions, labs, birth planning, care options, or postpartum preparation.
2. Meet One-on-One
During your consultation, we talk through your concerns, review your questions, and provide education in a calm, supportive way.
3. Leave With Next Steps
You leave with clearer information, practical next steps, and a better understanding of your options moving forward.
Pregnancy Consultation FAQ
Is this the same as full prenatal care?
No. A pregnancy consultation is a focused educational visit. It can help you understand your questions and options, but it does not automatically replace ongoing prenatal care unless you formally establish care.
Can you review my labs or ultrasound?
Yes. You can bring lab results, ultrasound reports, or notes from a previous appointment so we can help you better understand what they mean and what questions to ask next.
Can I book a consultation if I already have an OB?
Yes. Many families book consultations while continuing care with their current provider because they want more education, birth planning support, or help understanding recommendations.
Do you accept insurance for consultations?
As of July 2026, Birthstone Midwifery accepts Medi-Cal and IEHP for eligible covered services. Coverage must be verified before services are confirmed.
What areas do you serve?
Birthstone Midwifery serves families in Temecula, Murrieta, Riverside County, and surrounding Inland Empire communities.
Need Help Understanding Your Pregnancy Options?
