  Your doula walks with you through every element of your birth preferences — pain management choices, labor environment, communication with your care team, cesarean preferences, immediate postpartum wishes, and infant feeding goals — and helps you create a plan that is clear, realistic, and aligned with your values.
• On-Call Virtual Labor Support
  Your doula is on call via phone and video from 37 weeks through your birth. When labor begins, she is available to connect in real time — coaching you through contractions, guiding your partner, helping with positioning and breathing, and providing the steady, calm presence that makes a measurable difference in how birth unfolds. She does not leave when things get hard.
• Partner Coaching & Support
  Your partner receives dedicated coaching — before labor and in real time — so they feel confident rather than helpless. Position reminders, encouragement prompts, counterpressure guidance, and moment-to-moment coaching help the person beside you become an active, effective part of your support team.
• Informed Decision Support During Labor
  When your care team presents options or you face an unexpected situation, your doula helps you process clearly — explaining what is being offered, what the alternatives are, and what questions to ask — so you can make decisions that align with your wishes rather than simply defaulting to what feels fastest or easiest in a high-pressure moment.
• Postpartum Follow-Up & Birth Processing
  Your doula checks in after birth to support your physical and emotional landing — discussing recovery, processing your birth story, and addressing any questions that have come up in the first hours and days. Birth leaves an imprint, and you deserve space to speak it aloud to someone who understands what you went through.
• Integrated Lactation Support
  Because Birthstone Midwifery is led by a Licensed Midwife with extensive hands-on lactation experience, feeding support is woven into your care from the beginning — not a separate add-on. Prenatal breastfeeding preparation, latch guidance via video in the early days, supply concerns, pumping questions, and bottle feeding are all within scope. This is something no standard virtual doula service offers.
• Unlimited Text & Phone Support
  Between visits and during the weeks of late pregnancy, you have direct access to your doula for questions, concerns, encouragement, and guidance. You are not waiting for the next scheduled appointment to get an answer to something that is worrying you at 11pm.
